You admire their achievements. You count on their leadership. You emulate their professionalism. Nominate that oral and maxillofacial surgery colleague, practitioner, educator, resident or researcher.

AAOMS sponsors awards, fellowships and lectures that honor the best talent, leadership and service in the specialty. Review the guidelines and eligibility at AAOMS.org/Awards .

The Advisory Committee on Award Nominations (ACAN) reviews nominations that have been submitted by fellows/members and does not make nominations on its own. However, in the event no nominations or an insufficient number of nominees (in the award categories that require multiple nominees) are received by the deadline, ACAN will be notified, and the individual committee members will have the option to present nominees with an appropriate documentation to review at the committee’s annual meeting. ACAN makes recommendations on all awards and lectures with the Board of Trustees making final decisions.

Mail, email or fax a nomination. Be sure to include a curriculum vitae of your candidate as well as a succinct statement with your reasons for nominating the individual.

The annual deadline is Jan. 31.
