Overview
The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons is looking for an Advanced Education and Resident Affairs Associate. The ideal candidate will be proactive and detail-oriented with experience in meeting management. This role requires a candidate who can seamlessly manage multiple projects and is able to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
The Advanced Education and Resident Affairs Associate reports to the Director of Advanced Education & Resident Affairs and is responsible for supporting the director in operational and administrative activities related to the development, implementation, and conduct of advanced education and resident affairs activities and programs.
The Advanced Education and Resident Affairs Staff Associate works with other AAOMS employees to facilitate delivery of projects according to the priorities established by the members. The Associate must embrace the six core values that have been developed for staff members and promote these values whenever interacting with other staff to enhance project coordination and delivery.
Salary Range $65,000-$70,000 per year

- Oversee Dental Student Outreach
- Coordinates logistics for the Advanced Education and Resident Affairs Annual Meeting Programing
Detailed Description of Key Accountabilities:
Committee on Research Planning and Technology Assessment (CRPTA) & OMSF Committee on Research
- Assist in the coordination of committee meetings and conference calls
- Handles all committee housing and travel arrangements
- Coordinates logistics and educational aspects of the biennial Clinical Scientific Innovations in OMS conference and Clinical Trials Methods Course
NBME/CBSE
- Coordinate the set up and management of exam registration
- Serve as main staff contact to vendor
- Prepare examinee score reports for annual review
- Manages correspondences with exam applicants and OMS programs
Annual Meeting Coordination
- Coordinate program logistics for Advanced Education programs
- Serve as division representative to bi-weekly database management meetings
- Develop division Schedule of Events and VIP List
- Coordinate review of Annual Meeting Advanced and Final Programs
AAOMS Dental School Outreach
- Coordinates sponsorship activities for ASDA Annual Meeting and the ASDA National Leadership Conference
- Coordinates sponsorship activities for SNDA Annual Meeting
- Manages and maintains ROAAOMS Women in OMS and Underserved Minorities Mentorship Programs
- Organize dental school visits annually
Perform other miscellaneous staff associate duties
- Provide switchboard relief as assigned.
- Responsible for managing resident scholarship applications & OMSF resident travel scholarships
- Review and assemble FEDA application for the Committee on Education and Training
- Responsible for with processing financial reimbursements
- Data management
- Annually update OMS Program Data & National Match Data
- Coordinates the distribution of the annual questionnaire to all the accredited OMS programs
- Maintain listing of fellowships and internships
- Maintain clearinghouse for available resident and faculty positions within the resident database
- Assist in Survey Management
- Oversee revision to AEPA web pages and OMSF web pages
Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned by the Director, Advanced Education and Resident Affairs.
