NIH announces changes to federal funding terms

The NIH alerted domestic recipients that when accepting NIH grant funding, recipients must now certify that they are not in violation of federal antidiscrimination laws. Specifically, the notice highlights that such violations include operation of DEI programs, engaging in “discriminatory equity ideology,” and participation in any prohibited boycott of businesses. Based on the memo, the NIH can terminate financial assistance and recover funds from recipients who engage in prohibited conduct.
