AAOMS seeks H1-B visa exemption for OMSs and OMS residents

The Trump administration recently announced that employers will need to pay a $100,000 fee for new employee H-1B visa applications. While the policy does not currently exempt healthcare professionals, the physician and dental communities are advocating for such an exemption. AAOMS also sent a letter urging the administration to exempt foreign-trained OMSs and OMS residents from the fee requirement.
