AAOMS is partnering with the Parkdale Center for Professionals, an industry leader in substance use treatment, in a well-being program called “AAOMS Cares: Being Well Together” to serve as a resource for Association members affected by substance use disorders. This confidential program marks a significant step toward providing comprehensive support and care.
Parkdale is an independent treatment facility based in Chesterton, Ind., with a proven track record of treating professionals across the United States struggling with substance use disorders in highly accountable industries.
Key components of our new well-being program include:
- Confidential Assessments conducted by trained professionals from Parkdale to help identify the severity of the issue and ensure personalized treatment plans.
- Personalized Treatment Plans addressing the specific needs of each individual that can encompass various therapeutic approaches, including partial hospitalization and outpatient options.
- Ongoing Support beyond initial treatment that includes regular follow-ups and support sessions as well as Parkdale working with regulatory, legislative, investigative, monitoring and treatment organizations to ensure the after-care program exceeds expectations.
- Education and Awareness promoting well-being initiatives that raise awareness about risky substance use, its impact on mental well-being, and the resources available for mitigation and recovery.
In programs like this, privacy, confidentiality and anonymity are of the utmost importance to the team at Parkdale and to AAOMS. All aspects of treatment, private discussions and information shared with Parkdale is held with the strictest confidence to protect the privacy and dignity of all participants. AAOMS is only facilitating access to the experts at Parkdale; the Association will not receive identifiable information regarding individual inquiries or subsequent treatment.
Because seeking help for substance use can be challenging, AAOMS is committed to fostering a supportive and non-judgmental environment. The Association encourages anyone who is struggling or knows of someone who is, be it a co-worker or family member, to take advantage of this confidential well-being program by calling 888-462-2706.
