Senate Democrats seek input on private health insurance coverage

Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), joined by 16 Democratic senators, issued a request for information (RFI) seeking recommendations to improve private health insurance coverage. The RFI focuses on policies to reduce premiums and deductibles, expand coverage options, streamline enrollment, and curb insurance practices that can delay or deny care. Comments are due by Oct. 2. The responses are expected to help shape comprehensive healthcare legislation that Committee Democrats plan to develop in the next Congress. AAOMS is reviewing for potential input.
