Member Alert: Annual Meeting and Dental Implant Conference to go virtual

With respect for the safety of its members and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, AAOMS has decided to combine the educational content of its 2020 Annual Meeting and Dental Implant Conference into a virtual event this fall.  

This new virtual meeting will replace the Annual Meeting originally scheduled for Oct. 5 – 10 in San Antonio, Texas, and the Dental Implant Conference previously slated for Dec. 3 – 5 in Chicago, Ill.

AAOMS is pleased to be able to still offer its annual premier events, now in a virtual format that is expected to provide convenience and value to members. Details – including particulars of the educational content – will be announced. More information will be available at AAOMS.org and in member email communications. 

AAOMS remains focused on the safety of its members and their staff while closely monitoring updates related to the pandemic. In combining the conferences and deciding on a virtual option, the Association took into account results from a membership survey, travel and meeting restrictions as well as other concerns. AAOMS is still evaluating options for convening the 2020 House of Delegates.
 
Registration for the combined meeting will open later this summer.

For more than 100 years, AAOMS members have expected the Annual Meeting to offer outstanding educational sessions to advance knowledge, provide opportunities for dialogue and showcase the latest products and services in the OMS specialty.
 
As it continues planning the virtual meeting, please know the Association will work tirelessly to deliver valuable educational content with consideration for the evolving needs of its members. AAOMS looks forward to sharing more details about this exciting event as the plans unfold.
